Big Science Weekend

The Powerhouse Museum will buzz with fabulous science action for everyone all day long! Watch exciting science shows, participate in hands-on workshops and meet Cogs the Robot. ABC’s Surfing Scientist, Ruben Meerman from Catalyst and Rollercoaster, will perform mind-boggling science tricks from his books.

Hands-on activities throughout the day include: Sydney Observatory daytime telescope viewing, Molecule making with the Royal Australian Chemical Institute and Mystery Investigators with the Australian Skeptics Association. Take home slime that you’ve made yourself in the Super Silly Slime workshop.

Exciting and entertaining science shows will be performed throughout the day including WipeOut! from Perform Educational Musicals. Join in a lively discussion between Matt Boyd author of I,Wolf and the Museum of Human Disease on the Genetics of becoming a werewolf.

Recommended for ages 4 to 104.
